IUSM BioMedical Scientists Seminar Series Speakers Groups

The goal of the BioMedical Scientists Seminar Series Speakers Group is to offer biomedical research seminars to Indiana universities and colleges, showcase the research taking place at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM), and inform talented students about the Indiana University School of Medicine BioMedical Gateway (IBMG) Program as well as the other graduate degrees offered by the IUSM.

Doctoral Student Timeline

Those in the IBMG Program for Ph.D. Study, the IUSM Graduate Division, and the 10 Basic Science graduate programs work hard to ensure that students stay on track throughout their doctoral career. View the typical doctoral student path.

Several tools have been developed for aspiring doctoral students in an effort to ease the trepidation that comes along with applying to graduate school. McNair Students

Understanding that McNair students are well prepared and motivated for graduate studies, the IUSM hopes to recruit five qualified McNair students into full IBMG graduate program fellowships that will provide competitive stipends, health insurance, and tuition scholarships.

Supplemental Questions

The Supplemental Questions are a set of questions required as part of the application package to the IBMG Program for Ph.D. Study. Supplemental Questions help the admissions committee further consider an applicant.

Summer Research Opportunities

Summer research is one way for an undergraduate student to solidify his or her interest in pursuing a career in the biomedical sciences. A tool that creates a research profile of investigators based on their publications and NIH grants, highlighting the scientific concepts found in those sources.
